You are invited to participate in the National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT Summit 2009), which will be held on 22nd of September, 2009 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

This year's ICT Summit, being one of the most important events in ICT area in Uzbekistan, is a one day event that opens the Information and Communication Technologies Week (ICT Week) with its plenary and sectional sessions. The recommendations and final resolution of the Summit will be adopted upon completion of the event.

The ICT SUMMIT 2009 is organized by the Coordination Council for Development of Computerization and Information and Communication Technologies, the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, the Communications and Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzACI), ICT Policy Project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan and Association of IT Companies and Organizations of Uzbekistan.

Topics for general discussion include trends and major developments in regulatory policy, progress and challenges in implementation of national ICT development programmes, best practices of ICT deployment in various sectors, issues of infrastructure development and other most critical areas.

The papers presented at the ICT Summit 2009 will be published on the Summit's website and on the special CD along with other important Summit materials and distributed among participants and partners.
